Fans of Asian indie films, we are extremely proud and honored to have with us Tôn Thất An, the composer of Vietnamese arthouse films such as “Ròm” (now on Netflix), “The Third Wife” or “Song Lang”. He will be in conversation with actor Lê Công Hoàng (“Big Father, Small Father”, “Goodbye Mother”, “Glorious Ashes”) to kick off the first of our ‘In Conversations with…” series.
This friendly talk between An and Hoàng will be an opportunity to hear him share his journey as a musician, his younger years in Paris, his work for contemporary dance in Japan or Taiwan, his collaboration with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the surprise award at the Taiwan Golden Melody in 2019, his involvement with the Asian art scene or with the indie film industry in Vietnam.
The audience will get the chance to participate, and ask questions and the talk will be followed by a short meet-and-greet networking session with An and Hoàng.
Born and raised in Paris, An now lives in Taipei, Taiwan, and is currently in Saigon to work on a new film as well as a couple of performing arts shows. And before he heads back to Taipei, he kindly agreed to share some time with us for this rare and exclusive opportunity.
Join this very special event opportunity, but be quick to sign up as we only have a very limited seating of 40!
